Zambia Group Empowerment Program
This group program is a little different from our others – it ensures the children are getting healthy meals at school so they’re always ready to learn.
The Problem
The ZACTS School for Orphans and Vulnerable Children nurtures a community of more than 1200 children, spanning from kindergarten to Grade 8. While the school is fortunate to receive government assistance to support teacher salaries, school fees, and learning materials, a critical aspect remains unaddressed – daily meals for the children. Our partners have observed that the absence of regular food during the day impacts academic performance, diminishes focus in class, and hampers attendance rates.
The Program
To address this issue, we launched the Zambia Group Empowerment Program to meet the feeding needs of the school. This program will allow the school to make regular purchases of cooking oil, rice, beans, spices, and additional vegetables, milk, and meat that the school’s farm alone can’t cover. Your contribution to this program goes a long way in keeping the children well-fed and ready to learn!
