John, a semi-retired lawyer, practiced corporate/commercial law for almost 40 years as a partner in the firm Rosborough and Company. Over the years John has chaired or served as a director of various organizations in his hometown of Abbotsford, BC. In addition to serving as Chair of the Board of International Needs Canada, John is also a member of the Governance Capacity Building Committee of International Needs, Inc. promoting governance excellence among overseas partners.
Clary is passionate about community development and supporting marginalized people. She advocates ardently for International Need’s philosophy of working with local leadership to transform communities. Clary received a Bachelor’s degree in Community Rehabilitation Studies from the University of Calgary and currently works as a Program Coordinator for Community Living Alternative Services.
Barry has been a pastor for 40 years. He has been an ordained minister in the Evangelical Missionary Church of Canada since 1987 and a member of the International Needs Canada Board since 2000. He is married (wife Beverley), has 3 boys and 11 grandchildren. His first major connection with International Needs was attending the International Council in Manila, Philippines, in November 1993, and witnessing the retirement of the founder, Rev. Ray Harrison.
Arber is a CPA, CA with over 15 years’ experience at DJB Chartered Professional Accountants. She works as a Senior Manager providing business, financial, and tax consulting services to owner-managed businesses and not-for-profit organizations. Arber has served on the Boards of various organizations in Ontario including her role as the treasurer for International Needs Canada.
Cynthia is a family physician who has practised in Barrie, Ontario since 1986. She has served on the board of directors for the Barrie After Hours Medical Clinics and as a medical director for a long-term care facility. She has thoroughly enjoyed serving on several medical mission trips to Africa and Central America.
Terry has been involved in international development for the past twenty-five years, during which time he has lived in Haiti, Malawi, South Africa and Canada. Since 2013 he has been working closely with Cambridge Resources International and Queen’s University in developing an integrated approach to appraise both the financial and social objectives of impact investing projects.
