WASH Program
This program empowers families with clean water, proper sanitation, and hygiene education, equipping them to lead healthier and more sustainable lives.

The Problem
In rural Cambodia, limited access to clean water and proper sanitation facilities creates serious health challenges. Many communities rely on unsafe water sources, increasing the risk of waterborne illnesses. Sanitation is often inadequate, with a lack of toilets and waste management leading to environmental pollution and poor hygiene.
These issues are made worse by a lack of education about WASH (Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene), leaving communities without the tools to protect their health. Stagnant water and poor drainage also provide breeding grounds for mosquitoes, driving up cases of dengue fever and malaria, especially during the rainy season. Addressing these problems is essential for improving health and quality of life.
The Program
The program takes a holistic approach to tackling WASH challenges in rural Cambodia by focusing on both education and resources to drive lasting change. Interactive health and hygiene training sessions are conducted at local centres and community spaces, incorporating hands-on demonstrations and brochures to ensure accessibility for all literacy levels.
Alongside these efforts, the program provides vital resources such as water filters, hygiene kits, mosquito nets, and food covers to improve daily living conditions. It also supports the construction of latrines, leach drain systems, and, where needed, boreholes to provide reliable access to clean water.
