The Walk for Water is a fun-filled 5K field walk and BBQ organized by Women Making a Difference to raise $35,000 for a large water project in drought-stricken Burkina Faso, in western Africa.

Event Details:

Where: 2776 South Talbot Rd, Cottam, ON (map)

When: 12:00 pm on Saturday, June 3rd, rain or shine

Distance: 5km – No time limit

Lunch: BBQ hosted by Triple G Ranch

The minimum pledge to walk with us is $100. (All gifts over $20 will receive a tax receipt)

Welcome to the Ranch

The Walk for Water goes for 5K around the perimeter of the ranch property, so wear comfortable hiking shoes!

KONA

In Kona, Burkina Faso, women and girls walk 5km or more EVERY DAY to fetch dirty water.

WMAD

This is the 14th water project Women Making A Difference (WMAD) has supported for International Needs!

WMAD is a women’s leadership group based in southwest Ontario. Since 2011, they have dedicated themselves to uplifting women and helping them add value and virtue to the lives they touch.

100% of the proceeds of the walk go directly to the water project, thanks to generous donors who pay all our overhead.
