The Problem

Thanks to your support through sponsorship, hundreds of students in Ghana have the opportunity to attend school each day. Their hard work, perseverance, and determination are opening doors that once felt out of reach.

But as students approach graduation, both from school and from the sponsorship program, a new barrier emerges. While university costs in Ghana are significantly lower than in Canada, they remain far beyond what most families can manage. Depending on the institution, annual tuition typically ranges from approximately CAD$500 to $2,000 per year, not including accommodation, books, or transportation. For families facing financial hardship, these expenses are simply unattainable.

The Program

We are establishing a dedicated University Fund to support graduates who qualify for post-secondary education.

This fund will provide sustainable tuition assistance, ensuring they are able to continue their studies and complete their degrees. It will also allow us to plan responsibly for the growing number of youth who are graduating and gaining university acceptance each year.

By creating a separate fund, we can protect the long-term sustainability of the sponsorship program while also building a clear pathway for graduates to pursue higher education.
