Steps for Justice

This project will give a young boy with mild cerebral palsy a full year of physiotherapy and support to improve his mobility, strength, and independence.
The Problem

Justice is a young boy in Ghana living with mobility challenges caused by mild cerebral palsy. Since early childhood, he has struggled with movement and muscle control, making it difficult for him to walk confidently, keep up with other children, and fully participate in daily life.

In many communities, children with physical disabilities face barriers that go far beyond their diagnosis, including limited access to specialized medical care, transportation challenges, and financial constraints that make consistent treatment very difficult for vulnerable families. Without ongoing physiotherapy and proper support, Justice risks falling further behind physically and socially, limiting his independence and long-term opportunities.

The Program

The Steps for Justice project will give Justice a chance to grow stronger through a dedicated year-long physiotherapy program. Following a medical assessment, it was confirmed that weekly physiotherapy sessions could significantly improve his muscle strength, balance, posture, and mobility over time.

This project will ensure Justice can access consistent treatment at the Korle Bu Hospital in Accra, along with the transportation support he needs to attend sessions consistently. With sustained therapy and appropriate physiotherapy aids, Justice can build greater independence, participate more fully in school and community life, and move toward a future with fewer limitations.

How Your Gift Helps

Your support will ensure Justice receives weekly physiotherapy tailored to his needs and the equipment that will help him get stronger over time, and will pay for safe transportation so he can attend every session without placing additional strain on his family. Every dollar raised brings him closer to reduced pain, improved coordination, and the simple freedom to run and play like other children his age.
