The Problem
In rural Cambodia, many families remain trapped in cycles of poverty, lacking the means and opportunities needed to build sustainable livelihoods. With limited means to access to education, vocational training, and basic resources, they struggle to move beyond mere subsistence, often unable to meet fundamental needs such as food, healthcare, and schooling. Without these critical resources and skills, families are unable to take the necessary steps toward economic self-sufficiency, leaving entire generations stuck in extreme poverty despite their desire to work and improve their lives.
The Program
This program is dedicated to empowering impoverished families by equipping them with training, tools, and resources to improve their living conditions through agriculture. It has launched cooperative initiatives in rice, chicken, duck, cow, and fish farming across provincial districts. Participants receive training in agricultural practices, animal husbandry, micro-enterprise development, leadership, and the value of active participation and accountability. By blending theoretical education with practical experience, the program fosters sustainable growth and empowers families to create lasting change.
