Clinique Papillon Expansion
Clinique Papillon is expanding to meet the growing healthcare needs of vulnerable families in the community.
The Problem
Clinique Papillon has long been a trusted source of medical care for individuals and families with limited access to healthcare services. For many in the Lubumbashi, the clinic is one of the only affordable and reliable places to receive treatment, maternal care, and preventative services.
However, as the population has grown and demand for services has increased, the clinic’s existing space has become insufficient. Limited examination rooms, aging infrastructure, and a lack of proper equipment have restricted the number of patients who can be seen each day. In some cases, patients experience long waits or delays in receiving care.
Without expanded space and proper outfitting, the clinic’s ability to respond to the community’s healthcare needs remains constrained. Strengthening and expanding this facility is essential to ensure families can access quality medical care close to home.
The Project
To address these growing needs, new buildings for Clinique Papillon have been successfully acquired, creating the opportunity for a significantly expanded and improved facility. Renovations are now underway to prepare the space for medical use and to ensure it meets the standards required for safe and effective healthcare delivery.
Once complete, the expanded clinic will increase patient capacity, improve workflow, and create a more dignified and efficient environment for both patients and staff. Additional rooms and upgraded infrastructure will allow the clinic to broaden its services and strengthen the overall quality of care.
As renovations move forward, the focus of the project has shifted to equipping the new space. Proper medical equipment and furnishings are essential to ensure the expanded facility can operate at full capacity and serve the community.
