The trek will take guests through well-defined altitudinal vegetation zones, from semi-arid scrub to dense cloud forest. Walking approximately 60 kilometres, guests start from Marangu Gate (1,860m) and gradually ascend to reach Gillman’s Point (5,680m) and finally Uhuru Peak (5,896m), the actual summit.
