June 2021: Get Active for Ghana

Get Active for Ghana is a month-long event organized by International Needs Canada’s Youth Ambassador Julia Shannon to raise funds for the long-term education and empowerment of 375 extremely vulnerable children in Ghana. To support the program, participants are getting active and raising funds. Sharon plans to bike 375km and run/walk 37.5km, and has set a goal to raise $750 before the end of June.

Sharon’s story: Our daughter, Amanda Kelsall, began to sponsor little Charlotte through International Needs when she was in university. Amanda was aspiring to be a Medical Doctor at the time. Amanda went home suddenly to be with her Lord and Saviour in her second year of Medicine at UOttawa. My husband and I have been blessed to continue to sponsor Charlotte through IN and have recently added another little girl, Winner.  

Our daughter Debra now also sponsors one of Charlotte’s sisters. We had the absolute privilege of meeting Charlotte in January of 2017 in her little village in Ghana when we did a Discovery Tour with IN. We were so impressed to see the amazing work that IN is doing! We met many nationals whose lives have been transformed through the passionate work of this organization! When supporting children through International Needs,  you can be assured that every dollar is well spent!  Your support through this initiative to help 375 children in the Ghana Group Empowerment Program will not go unnoticed and you will be blessed to be a part of this great mission!
