After taking possession on November 1st, the RHYCO team began the cleanup and demolition of the site in Kawangware slum. Here’s how the property looked when they took possession:
After a lot of hard work and trash removal, renovations began. Martha Mwende, head of RHYCO, told us that the leaders wanted to create a special place for children who had been abused during lockdown. As you’ll see in the photos below, the filthy junkyard is turning into a vibrant sanctuary, thanks to your generosity.
Kevoh, a local street artist has brought the buildings and walls to life. What a difference!
