By purchasing a Basket of Love, you can transform the life of someone in need. Each basket is specially designed to meet the most immediate needs of the people receiving it. From education to medical supplies and food, these baskets bring practical help and hope to children and families living in extreme poverty.
Basket of Chickens – $25
Provide a source of food, education, and income in Zambia.
Your Basket of Chickens includes five chicks for the ZACTS Student Agricultural Program in Zambia. Through the poultry aspect of the curriculum, students will learn math, business skills, animal husbandry, safe food handling, and the values of responsibility.
Basket of Food – $45
Feed a family in Bangladesh for a month.
Your Basket of Food includes essentials like rice, lentils, dried fish, and cooking oil, which will keep a family in Bangladesh fed for a month. This ensures that parents can keep themselves and their children well-nourished.
Basket of Protection – $50
Rescue vulnerable children in Kenya.
Your Basket of Protection covers the cost of caring for one child at the Bella Ciao Safe House in Kenya for 3 months. This centre works tirelessly to remove children from situations of exploitation and abuse and place them in an environment of love and safety.
Bucket of Water – $55
Provide clean, safe drinking water in Ghana.
Your Bucket of Water covers the cost of installing five out of five hundred pipes needed to connect the remote Avata community in the Volta Region of Ghana to a government water supply. This community-led effort will bring clean water to the residents, eliminating the need for them to travel long distances to fetch water and greatly improving their health and overall quality of life.
Basket of Education – $60
Empower girls in Bangladesh to access higher education.
Your Basket of Education will empower girls from Savar Children’s Village in Bangladesh by enabling them to access higher education, thus helping to prevent early marriages. The positive effects of educating girls are immeasurable.
Basket of Child Care – $70
Help children with cerebral palsy to reach their full potential in Kenya.
Your Basket of Child Care supports the Joyful Hearts Centre, a program that cares for children with cerebral palsy. This program takes place at the Bella Ciao Safe House in Kawangware Slum, Kenya.
Basket of Medical Care – $100
Help to cover emergency medical procedures in the DR Congo.
Your Basket of Medical Care will go into the emergency medical fund at Clinique Papillon in the DR Congo. This funds procedures like c-sections ($350), hernia repair ($250), breast lump removal ($150), exploratory laparotomy ($500), cervical cancer and fistula treatment ($400).
